BUBBLE TOP / BROAD RIB RUBBER STABLE MATS

These rubbermats can be used for any number of applications such as stable flooring or as cow cubicle mats, they have a BUBBLE pattern top and a BROAD RIBBED pattern on the other. They are made up of a solid moulded virgin rubber (not recycled or “bound” tyre crumb). Being solid rubber they are completely impervious to liquids and therefore will not soak up urine or harbour bacteria which can cause health problems in horses and livestock. We have been selling rubber mats, used in various applications for more than 30 years, and pride ourselves in stocking and supplying only the very best quality mats.

There are so many different types of rubber mats available in the market today, we would always recommend that you ask for a sample of the matting before you buy, that way you can check the quality and finish of the mat before making any decisions.

Cheaper mats tend to be “bound” mats, meaning they are produced from re-cycled tyre shred or crumb that is pressure moulded together with urethane adhesive resulting in a mat that over a relatively short period of time will crumble and fall apart.

Being non-porous, these solid rubber stable mats can be laid on concrete, sand, earth, compressed stone, brick or just about any surface available, without soaking up any moisture.

We recommend that these mats are fitted Hammered side up in stables as this surface is comfier for the horse, easier to clean, and is non-slip in all directions. When used in horseboxes and trailers they can be fitted groove side up with the grooves running the length of the vehicle so that any muck can be swept out of the rear door.

When use as cow cubicle mats they can be used either Hammered or Ribbed side up depending on the user’s personal preference they will perform just as well either way.

The grooves on the reverse side of these mats can assist with drainage if the slope on the floor is steep enough especially on cow cubicle beds, however this is a bit of a misconception when used as stable mats as even the steepest slope on a stable floor will not permit all the wet to simply flow out of the door.
